Kung Hei Fat Choy!
I used to live in Hong Kong so Chinese New Year is always one of my favourite celebrations each year. The boys and I have been busy making crafts, dressing up and reading our favourite stories about the Chinese New Year animals.
2021 is the year of the Ox.
Here’s a few crafts we’ve been creating.
Chinese Dragon drawing
We found this great YouTube video demonstrating how to draw a Chinese dragon. It was simple to follow. Here’s what we created!
Lucky waving cat
If you haven’t already heard about The Week Junior it’s a great weekly magazine for children to read. We found this article and thought we’d give it a go! We were very pleased with our crafts and really enjoyed that the cat was able to actually wave!
Thank you to our lovely member Alice who have us this great idea to make a Chinese lantern. I was so impressed with how easy this was to make and how brilliant it looks!
If you haven’t already do please take a look at her Instagram account @nanny.inspiration.station for brilliant craft ideas.
I hope you all have a good Chinese New Year if you’re celebrating with your family.
